Your care, in plain language

Information that puts your care first

Why this guide exists

When you are suffering or uncertain about your care, finding clear information can be difficult. This guide explains what you can expect, why it matters and what choices you have.

Who it is for

Adults in the Republic of Cyprus who are seeking psychological help or already receiving care. This is general information; your personal situation needs an appropriate professional.

How we use sources

Cyprus legislation and relevant authorities inform local procedures. International professional guidance helps explain good care and boundaries. It is not presented as Cyprus law. Examples are fictional, not descriptions of particular people.

Independence and funding

This edition carries no advertisements and no links that earn us a commission. Sources are included for their role or relevant information. Their inclusion is not a paid therapist recommendation.

Relationship to official bodies

This is an independent information initiative. It does not represent the Psychologists’ Registration Council, a professional association or a government service. Use the relevant organisations listed in Sources for official checks or complaints.

This edition

This edition was updated on 11 October 2026. Rules and procedures can change; confirm matters relevant to your situation with the responsible organisation.
